Sanctuary in the Rain

In the shower, I find my peace,
As the water washes over me with ease.
It's a sanctuary, a haven from the strain,
A reminder of the rain, which washes away the pain.
I sit here for hours, letting the water run,
Feeling isolated, but also at home.
I tell all my problems to the rain,
And in return, it soothes me with its refrain.
But when I leave, everything returns to the same,
The yelling, the hurt, and the blame.
I'm left feeling alone, like no one cares,
Wishing I could stay in my little world, where no one stares.
But the rain reminds me that every storm runs out of power,
And that even the darkest hour can lead to a brighter flower.
So I step out of the shower, ready to face the fray,
With the rain as my guide, I know I'll find my way.
For even when the world seems too much to bear,
The rain and the shower will always be there.
To wash away the pain, and offer a moment of peace,
A reminder that hope and happiness never cease.
